This system does not apply to piping systems for medical gases, industrial gases and cargo.
Tapes should be fitted either side of valves, at bulkhead penetrations, ‘T’s and crosses etc. and at regular intervals along the pipe. Prior to application pipes and lagging must be dust and oil free. The tape should be overlapped by at least 20mm on the blind side of the pipe.
